Established in 1909, Swinburne University of Technology is an educational institution that delivers vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with an industry focus. The identity was inspired by the university’s solid historical footing and those things that symbolised it.

The university’s renewed identity reconfigured the arrangement of letters in its name in the style of a foundation stone. A modular system of panels provided structure for the different courses to be individually identified and the university identity to be maximised in both vertical and horizontal applications.
